Shouldn’t liberals celebrate a health care system that produces so many Nobel prize winners?

Question by stung4ever: Shouldn’t liberals celebrate a health care system that produces so many Nobel prize winners?
Over the past 30 years, 24 of the Nobel Prizes for Medicine have gone, in whole or in part, to Americans. Isn’t it great that we have a health care system that provides us and the rest of the world so many innovations?

I celebrate research, yes.

However, is this “innovative healthcare” being made available to all people (in your words, in the “us and…the world”)…

…or only to those who can pay for it?
