Do you think her question regarding a solution to the health care crisis was just a PR move by her staff because she’s running for President and wants people to think they have a voice in this solution or will our responses actually be considered? What is the likelihood that Hillary will actually read the responses?

Will she read these, I doubt it. She will probably have someone scan over them and give her a quick report of responses. Now, if people start demanding one solution of another then that will dictate what she says she is for or against. Remember, to be a politican you must be in the majority!

Not me. I think Hillary is asking us questions so reporters will focus on that instead of where she stands on the issues. Since she is the one running for office, not us, she needs to tells us where she stands, not vice versa.
NOT ME. Since she doesn’t pay into social security and will receive a big fat pension when she retires, why doesn’t she and the rest of Washington pay into healthcare to take the burden off of the rest of us. Don’t get to upset if she doesn’t respond to you, she would never answer the tough questions.
Exactly what I thought. Seemed like a PR move, thinking that by utilizing the internet she can attract the younger vote and that just because “Hillary Clinton posted a question on Yahoo! Answers” means that she is really trying to reach out to us and hear what we have to say. Bullsh*t.

not just Hillary Clinton, but anyone in the white house for that matter. you cannot tell me that with all the brilliant minds we have floating around in that big white house of ours that they can not come up with one solution that can ensure that everyone has some sort of health insurance. there are alot of us who simply fall through the cracks and suffer for that every day.
I beleive her. If Americans were smart and not be prejudiced against women, they would elect her. We hear how women are treated better in the US, but third world countries have had women prime ministers for more than twenty years or more now (Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka). If she were electable, Hillary Clinton would probably be the best president the US could have at present. If you voted for George Bush in the last election then you are an idiot.

Yes I do, when her husband was President, their goal was to get health insurance for all Americans. Yes I feel Hillary will read some of these comments. I don’t think the health care issue is a PR move by her staff. I would vote for her!
Hillary Clinton is an opportunist. She will ask what she thinks the public wants to respond to, she will say what she thinks the majority wants to hear.
Of course, it is only my opinion, but anyone who does not think Hillary is a manipulator needs to ask why she stayed with a man whom she knew was cheating on her throughout their entire marriage with many different women. The answer is: because he was going places (politically), and could take her to further her career as well.
I’m a moderate but I do fall on the side of the Republicans often and I think that was a way to earn some votes. A President should not be concerned about the votes, but about America. When she was the First Lady in charge of a health care plan, I did not see her reaching out to the American public then. I have never seen her reaching out to anyone unless it was election time, for shame.

Well i am a dyed-in-the-wool republican. However, i have not seen George Bush putting a question up. I say Kudos to Mrs. Clinton for posting the question. At least she has asked our opinion.
She is asking us questions because she can’t answer any tough questions about where she stands. Not that I blame her. If she did, she wouldn’t have shot at the presidency.
She only cares insofar as getting informal poll data to either make it a campaign issue or not. Genuine compassion for the masses? Come on, she’s a dyed in the wool politician! I can tell you from first hand….this is nothing more than a ploy to get into office.
The state of Arkansas has little to none low income clinics, no low income emergency health aid whatsoever.
Keep in mind…Her hubby was governor of this state before becoming president.
I have lived in many states in my life, and Arkansas is by far one of the worst I have lived in, and am currently seeking relocation…lol

The poor already get care at your expense, how about paying another 16 percent of your paycheck to pay for the rest. Gov’t is not the answer and don’t expect cradle to grave coverage of anything. I believe that Hillary does care what we think and that she will have her staff scanning for all the best responses and then will be briefed on the best of the best and the ones most revelant to what it seems America really wants resolved about healthcare. Since every President before her has been a man, I am counting on the fact that she is a woman to give her more compassion for people and their real needs and wants than the men before her have done for us so far. If the men were going to do it, wouldn’t it have been done by now? Of course. Bill & hillary failed miserably to find any solution to the health care crisis when Bill Clinton occupied the oval office. What in God’s name does Hillary think she can do differently now to deal effectively with this issue. I firmly believe that Hillary Clinton is raising this issue as a huge smokescreen solely as a means to obtain power if she becomes president. I do not think/believe that she as any real compassion or concern for her fellow man!!!!!!!
Hillary was highly involved in Health care in the 1990s. She is an advocate as part of her core beliefs. Frequently in this country we are diverted from the core issues, by going off in tangents designed to waste time and keep solutions from moving forward. Hopefully in an age when corporations are calling all the important shots, programs to raise our national health standards will go forward. This is not a personality issue it is about redefining our national identity!
Hillary just wants power in everyway and aspect of our lives. Health care is a start. I just love these people who keep saying, “oh the burden.” Where does it say that it is your right that the government gives you health care??? Why do you want to be told how your health care is going to be supplied? It’s your money, not the governments. Trust me, you would rather have a choice of where and what to do when it comes to health care.
I think she is only interested in becoming President and you are the means to an end. She is interested in creating a new elite–the government. Why is it OK for government employees–including Senators to get a fully paid plan and opt out of Social Security in favor of a much better plan? Get real folks this lady would be a disaster to the free market economy that has made our country what it is today. If you are unhappy with capitalism, move to a socialist country and see how long you enjoy your “universal health care”!

This is just a PR stunt. She could care less. She just wants the votes. I personally don’t think the world is ready for a woman U.S. president. I DEFINITELY do not think she is the right one for the job at any time. Too many people are ready to get rid of Bush or any republican that they are willing to vote for anyone regardless what they stand for. People need to educate themselves before they cast a vote. I don’t want this country’s future to determined by people just voting for someone only because they aren’t republican. As far as Hilary is concerned, she will not get my or my families votes because we believe that she does not have our country’s best interest at heart.
There’s no doubt that Hillary cares, but a solution will only come from the ideas (brainstorming) of others. Ideally, a group of young staffers will scan these responses, extract the continuum of ideas, suggestions, and recommendations and pull together various point papers and policy recommendations for Hillary’s consideration.
Is this PR? I think it’s more fact finding. Again, good ideas don’t come from inside a vacumn, but from a consensus of those who are willing to give it serious consideration.
I’m a career military officer (28 years) and see on a daily basis that when there’s a problem, a good leader looks towards his/her followers (in this case citizens) for suggestions and recommendations.

I answered her question with a plan for more affordable health care, but since it is not what the Democrats want to hear, it’ll be buried in her mountain of response.
It definitely was, she’s not fooling anyone with a decent IQ. It would be a tragic day in America’s history if she wins the election. But at least within 2 years it’ll be proven to those who think we can have free health care and all the other handouts she promises, but doesn’t explain where the money will come from to pay for all the handouts. I truly think and hope that most of the Americans realize that. Not too much its also going to be sad when our country gets attacked again because she’ll make out troops and heroes leave the war. Then the other terrorists can train and plot more attacks. If Hillary isn’t a under cover terrorist, I would be surprised. Now you may laugh, but really think about. They will do anything and I think its all part of a master terrorist plot.
From the time that Mrs Clinton first graced the White House steps as first lady she has been an advocate for health care reform. It was not simply something she supported for her husband but was something that she was passionate about for the sake of all Americans. It is an issue of which she is aware and informed. I must add that I am not a Democrat nor am I a highly political person, but I am glad that Senator Clinton saw a problem that needed addressed and not only spoke about it but has spent time and effort to correct and improve this situation.
